The Maharashtra government and UNICEF formed a memorandum of understanding, directing the state’s Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) to collaborate on eco-friendly initiatives through the Green Club in selected districts. In Mumbai, the DTE chose our institute to lead activities outlined in the guidelines. Notably, our institute ranks highest among Green Club activities in the city.

The Green Club instils environmental stewardship values, fostering an eco-conscious campus. Emphasising responsible resource use, it engages students in diverse projects, supporting initiatives on campus and in local communities. Impactful activities include an e-waste collection drive on August 26, 2023, gathering over 15 kg for proper disposal. On September 08, 2023, a Nirmalya Collection and Compost drive created compost bins from Janmashtami materials. On October 04, 2023, the compost fertilized campus plants, promoting environmental responsibility. Other efforts include an Energy Literacy drive, Campus Cleanliness drive, a relay race for water conservation, and an “Amrit Kalash Yatra” plantation drive on October 13, 2023, dedicating 50 saplings to martyrs. A Nature exploration trip on November 24, 2023, focused on biodiversity conservation. These initiatives uphold the institute’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.

PTVA’s Institute of Management’s alumni contribute to the holistic development of the students pursuing MMS Course in the institute. Alumni get involved at various levels. They are involved in student development activities by interviewing and guiding our current students towards making a successful career.

Also, they get involved in informal talks with new batch students helping them acclimatise to the MMS course and environment.

PTVA’s Institute of Management encourages its alumni to contribute to the Institute by nonfinancial means like interacting with their juniors:

  • Pep-talks
  • Mock interviews of students
  • Providing career guidance to students
  • Providing recruiting leads for placements

Financial Modelling Workshop is arranged for Finance batch students before they graduate.

Proficiency in Ms Excel has become the basic requirement for any MBA/MMS student seeking employment. All businesses irrespective of the size of their business operations require their employees to be proficient in Ms Excel. For students opting for Finance it becomes a critical skill for their job.

The Institute arranges at least one Ms Excel workshop for our students during their course which is conducted by expert trainers.

During the course the students get well versed with the formulas, usage of financial formulas, charts, pivot tables, conditional formatting, filtering, sorting, v-lookup, h-lookup and many such functions.

Mock interviews enable students to have a fair idea about what they are going to experience at actual interviews, and prepare them how accurately they can deal with it.

They help candidates reduce their anxiety about interviewing by training them for the typical interview questions.

The Institute arranges Mock interviews for each student based on the specialisation they wish to opt.

This combination of a Domain Expert and an HR Expert facilitates both technical and personal/HR round questioning, evaluation and feedback for the student.

Two industry experts are invited for each panel of interviewers, one being the domain expert (i.e. Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations etc.) and one being the HR Expert. This combination of a Domain Expert and an HR Expert facilitates both technical and personal/HR round questioning, evaluation and feedback for the student.

Our CV is the first opportunity we get to make a good impression on a potential employer. The Institute understands this and hence arranges CV Designing & Resume Building Workshops for all students every year. These workshops are conducted by highly experienced HR Professionals from the industry.

Every year guest sessions are conducted by Industry experts wherein they explain the careers available in their domains and career paths students can take once they graduate from the institute. Such guest sessions are conducted for all specialisations opted by the students i.e. Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations & Systems.

Many MMS/MBA students wish to know which specialisation stream suits their temperament and aptitude.

The Institute faculty have designed an Aptitude Calibration Test which can assess the current level of student knowledge and inclination towards different management specializations such as Marketing, Human Resource Management and Finance.

It helps them to choose which specialisation to opt for. This test is for a maximum of one hour.

Evaluation is done after the test and the result is displayed on the Institute’s notice boards for students to see their current scores across the specialisations.
